The Petroleum Landman School is a true instructional environment, not merely a lecture or seminar. Attendees will cover the beginning basics of being a Petroleum Landman which include running oil and gas mineral ownerships, oil and gas leasing, leasehold ownership, held-by production all the way to performing due diligence. Students are encouraged to participate and be pro-active by both asking and answering questions during class. Each student will be provided a manual to keep as well as numerous forms and other presentation materials. Personal instruction will be concluded with a written test on the final day of the course. Students will also be taught the “Code of Ethics” and “Standards of Practice” established by the AAPL which will be essential before applying for work as a Landman. The Petroleum Landman School is also accredited by AAPL for up to 35 RPL and RL continuing education credits.
